Welcome Message

Established in 1977, Bahrain Airport Services is the sole organization entrusted to provide ground handling services at the Bahrain International Airport. Since its inception, BAS has developed and raised the quality of services to better serve its clientele, both locally and internationally.

Determined to leverage the Kingdom’s regional advantage, BAS continuously aims to provide efficient and secure services to both airlines and cargo clients. We strive to create an ideal travel experience for all passengers, providing a glimpse into the warm and hospitable nature that Bahrain is well-known for.

Our sentiments and values have led us towards a path of success and accomplishments. BAS is accredited by several internationally reputable organizations including EASA, IATA and ISAGO. BAS now holds several ISO certificates for food safety management, information security, and testing & calibration laboratories. It gives me immense pleasure to state that BAS is also fully compliant with international aviation standards.

BAS’s success is a direct result of our investment in human capital. Our periodic training and development programs have empowered over 3,000 personnel, contributing towards their professional growth and development. BAS’s Bahrainization has surpassed 81% with a staggering 90% Bahrainization rate at the managerial level.

As a result, BAS was well prepared to increase its administrative, technical and operational readiness in response to the demands of the Airport Modernization Project.

Additionally, BAS was approached by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to lend our expertise towards the two countries’ airports programs; a milestone that speaks volumes of BAS’s professionalism and deep-rooted experience.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has trusted BAS as a renowned name in providing ground handling services.  We will continuously strive to position Bahrain International Airport as a role model in the industry.

Eng. Mohamed Khalil Ahmed
