The Commercial Department is responsible for managing agreements including contract negotiations. All agreements adhere to IATA’s Standard Ground Handling Agreement SGHA latest updates. The department works to identify customer requirements and works closely with them to ensure smooth operation in Bahrain. Open communication channels are maintained between the customers and the Commercial Department and all relevant BAS operational departments.
The department also manages charges and rates for all services provided by the company along with the introduction of new services in collaboration with other departments.
Charges and rates are continuously benchmarked against the industry to ensure competitiveness and gain a better understanding of how to better serve our customers. Identifying floating tenders and submission is handled by the department through the compilation of all the necessary documentation and proposals for such opportunities.
We currently have 30 airlines, 4 catering clients and over 15 third-party agencies on board as our customers.
