In presence of His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Customs, and Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of BoD of Bahrain Airport Services. A site visit to the Air Cargo Clearance Center by BAS and Custom affairs was conducted on the 18 of May 2023.

The visit, held at the Center’s premises, marked the reopening of upgraded facilities and features that aim to deliver a unique and distinguished customer experience. The visit showcased the upgraded podiums that provide all customs clearance services to visitors for relevant government entities, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture, the Supreme Council for the Environment, National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), reaffirming the Customs Clearance Services Center’s commitment to promoting the logistics sector in the region.

Mr. Nabeel Kanoo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BAS stated that the project is a testament to the BAS’s commitment to promoting the logistics sector’s development in Bahrain. He added that this confidence in the Center’s ability to operate efficiently and effectively, meeting the demands of customers. The center highlights BAS commitment to creating a distinct customer experience that sets it apart as a leading facility in the cargo sector. The renovation was a pivotal moment in the national strategy for the logistics services sector, promoting initiatives that support the region’s economic growth between the private sector and the government Under the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the participation of all sectors in achieving the recovery plan, and in compliance with his directives based on the development of promising sectors in the Kingdom
