BAS is a believer in investing in its most valuable asset – our Human Capital. The Learning and Development Department was established with set goals aimed towards achieving professional excellence and expertise. The Department focuses on providing effective training, creating value by developing skillsets to achieve set targets, and promoting the highest standards of health, safety and security amongst the entire workforce.

The Centre has successfully trained 8,000 personnel from 2015 to date. External applicants have enrolled in the Centre’s programs to gain knowledge, experience, and certifications in ground handling. A total of 850 training courses are provided annually inclusive of e-learning, theoretical, and practical training. During 2020, the Centre provided 1,570 courses to 7,878 participants who attended the courses virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
