Bahrain Airport Services

A Legacy of Excellence in Aviation Services

For over 40 years, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has led the way in advanced aviation solutions as the exclusive ground handling service provider at Bahrain International Airport. Established through a royal decree by the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, following the vision of the late Yousuf Al Shirawi, Minister of Development and Industry, BAS was born from a powerful alliance between Gulf Air—Bahrain’s national carrier—and six esteemed travel agencies: Kanoo Travel, World Travel, Jalal Travel, Dilmun Travel, Al Qusaibi Travel, and Bahrain International Travel.

BAS has consistently committed to international standards, positioning Bahrain as a distinguished leader in the aviation services sector. Recognized globally, BAS has earned certifications from the Air Transport Safety Audit Program of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), reinforcing its reputation as a trusted name in aviation. These achievements have attracted international carriers to the Kingdom, supporting national economic growth and creating career opportunities for Bahraini nationals.

Our success is a tribute to the guidance of the Kingdom’s wise leadership, the contributions of past and present board chairpersons, executive management, and the dedication of our valued employees and customers.

Guided by our national commitment, BAS remains focused on advancing the aviation sector, consistently striving for progress and excellence to contribute to Bahrain’s ongoing development.
