Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo is a distinguished business leader with extensive experience spanning various industries, including travel, aviation, and corporate governance. Serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) since June 2021, Mr. Kanoo has played a pivotal role in guiding the company’s strategic vision and operational excellence. He currently serves as a member of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), a position he assumed in September 2024, further underscoring his active role in shaping Bahrain’s economic and corporate landscape.

Mr. Kanoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from St. Edwards University, Austin, Texas, which he earned in 1994. Over the course of his career, he has gained significant expertise in leadership and business development through various key positions.

Among his notable roles, He serves as the Chairman of Kanoo Ventures, a role he has held since 2022. In addition to his leadership roles, Mr. Kanoo has been actively involved in corporate governance and strategy through his board memberships. Over his 25-year career, he has served on various boards, which have significantly contributed to his professional growth and success.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kanoo gained valuable experience in the travel industry, working with globally recognized organizations like Arthur Andersen and Rosenbluth International. Starting in 1995, he joined the family business, Kanoo Travel, where he progressed through various roles, gaining comprehensive experience from the ground up. His dedication and expertise culminated in his appointment as President of Kanoo Travel in 2018.

As Chairman of BAS, he remains committed to fostering innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability within the aviation sector, further solidifying Bahrain Airport Services’ reputation as a leader in the region.
