Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has announced that it will be the official ground handling sponsor for the seventh edition of the Bahrain International Airshow, which will be held from November 13 to 15, 2024, at Sakhir Airbase.
BAS will provide ground handling services for more than 140 aircraft from participating regional and international airlines, including commercial and passenger aircrafts. These services will include operating exhibition ground equipment, electric tugs, as well as providing cleaning, maintenance, and security services. Over 110 employees, along with 95 ground support units, will work to ensure the delivery of world-class services that best represent the Kingdom.
In addition, BAS will provide catering services at the event, including managing food and beverage outlets, such as food trucks, restaurants, and cafes. The company will also offer buffet services at the main dining tent and fulfill pre-ordered meal requests for the organizers and participants throughout the three-day event, which is expected to welcome more than 54,000 visitors. BAS Catering proudly adheres to all ISO 22000 standards to ensure food safety and quality, in line with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
In this context, Mr. Nabeel Khaled Kanoo, Chairman of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), expressed his pride in the company’s continued partnership with the Bahrain International Airshow, stating: “Our role as the official ground handling sponsor for the Bahrain International Airshow for the seventh time is a reflection of our ongoing efforts to strengthen Bahrain Airport Services’ position on the global stage and enhance the Kingdom’s reputation as a premier aviation hub.” He added, “We are committed to providing the highest levels of quality and efficiency in our services, contributing to customer satisfaction and supporting the Kingdom’s strategic goals of attracting global investments and advancing the aviation sector.”
Mr. Nabeel Kanoo concluded by praising the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Airshow, for his role in promoting the economic vision through hosting the event, which contributes to supporting the aviation sector and attracting foreign investments.

It is a leader in the aviation services sector and is certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The company offers a wide range of services including ground operations, cargo handling, catering, aircraft engineering, as well as its Learning and Development Center and BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Center (BAETC), which has been internationally recognized for its aircraft engineering training program for more than 20 years.
