Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), affirmed that the company continues to strengthen its position as a leading provider in cargo and ground handling services, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to developing operations in line with the latest technologies and global best practices in the aviation sector.
Kanoo stated, “BAS is the primary ground handling operator at Bahrain International Airport and has played a key role in managing cargo operations since its establishment in 1977. Thanks to the efficiency of our national workforce, fleet of advanced equipment, and modern infrastructure, we have achieved exceptional milestones in this vital sector, enhancing Bahrain’s competitiveness as a regional cargo hub.”
As part of its strategic focus on empowering national talent in the cargo sector, Kanoo added, “We are proud to have achieved 100% Bahrainization, reflecting the company’s commitment to localizing jobs at all levels. Moreover, women have played an active role in cargo management, representing nearly 10% of our cargo workforce.
