BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Centre Celebrates Graduation of 100 Trainees Completing EASA Part-66 Requirements

BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Centre (BAETC) recently hosted a graduation ceremony celebrating 100 trainees who successfully completed the training requirements for the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-66 Aircraft Engineering License. The event was attended by Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), alongside senior officials, executives, trainers, parents of graduates, and aviation professionals.

The ceremony marked the culmination of a program developed to the highest international aircraft engineering and maintenance standards, demonstrating the Centre’s ability to equip the next generation of technical professionals with the tools they need to advance the aviation sector locally and regionally.

On the occasion, Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of BAS, said, “We are proud to see a new batch of qualified graduates ready to carry forward Bahrain’s reputation for excellence in the aviation sector. This milestone reflects our commitment to developing national talent through world-class learning and development programs. For his part, Eng. Mohamed Khalil, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Services, added, “We see great potential in each graduate to help progress aviation in Bahrain and the region. Many of them are now joining BAS and other leading local and international organizations. We are proud of their achievements and believe in their ability to support the continued growth of this critical sector.”

BAETC offers advanced courses accredited by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which combines theoretical knowledge with practical application in line with the latest technical requirements and international safety standards. The Centre plays an essential role in preparing highly skilled professionals equipped to innovate and excel in the industry, supporting the National Aviation Strategy and Bahrain’s Vision 2030 to diversify the economy and position the Kingdom as a regional aviation hub.
