Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has successfully renewed its ISO 17025 certification for the ninth consecutive year, and for the fourth year in a row without any non-conformities. This achievement highlights the company’s expertise in conducting measurement and testing activities that support aircraft maintenance, while upholding the highest standards of quality and reliability.

The renewed accreditation stands as a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the BAS team, highlighting their ability to deliver accurate technical testing and inspection services that enhance trust in the company’s operations both locally and internationally. It further strengthens BAS’s position as a leading aviation services provider, particularly in light of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation’s status as a global benchmark for laboratory competence in terms of impartiality, precision, and consistency.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Tony Smith, Chief Operations Officer at Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) said: “The renewal of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for several consecutive years is a remarkable accomplishment that reflects BAS’s commitment to applying international best practices across all our operations. We are proud of our teams whose efforts continue to deliver tangible results that reinforce the confidence of our partners and customers. This accreditation adds to our track record of achievements and reflects our dedication to delivering continued value to the aviation sector within and beyond the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification is one of the most important accreditations granted to BAS, as it recognizes the company’s ability to conduct testing and inspection in line with precise and consistent scientific standards. This delivers reliable results and facilitates collaboration with other laboratories and international entities operating under the same framework.

This milestone reflects BAS’s strategy of continuous development and adoption of global best practices, further supporting Bahrain’s position as a leading aviation services centre. It also demonstrates how the company remains focused on developing national talent and modern infrastructure to sustain operational excellence and strengthen the Kingdom’s competitiveness both regionally and internationally in this domain.
