Gulf Air and BAS Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance Aircraft Maintenance Training Experience
April 21, 2024BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Center (BAETC) has partnered with Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, during which Gulf Air’s Technical Affairs Division will equip BAETC students with essential maintenance experience required to complete the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 66 License. The agreement aims to bolster the competency and skill sets of Bahraini talents, particularly focusing on the development and empowerment of future aircraft engineers within a rapidly growing aircraft engineering and maintenance industry world-wide.

March 20, 2023BAETC is pleased to announce the opening of early registration for its highly respected Aircraft Engineer license – EASA Part 66 B1/B2 License course. As an internationally recognized and technologically advanced provider of formal aircraft engineering maintenance training, BAETC is the first training organization in the Middle East and Asia to have received the European Union Aviation Safety Agency Approval for its training Centre (EASA.147.0002). In addition, BAETC is recognized by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA).

March 19, 2023BAS Internal Audit department has achieved the top rating for its Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) for conformance with the International Professional Practices Framework of Internal Auditing (IPPF). The full assessment was carried out during February 2023 by UAE Internal Auditors Association (UAE IAA), which is the official IIA (The Institute of Internal Auditors) affiliate in the UAE and is authorised by the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA to conduct Quality Assessments under provisions of Addendum GG, and resulted in a “Generally Conforms” rating.

January 25, 2023In line with its commitment to serve the community, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) announced its support for the second phase of the national afforestation campaign “Forever Green”. The campaign is being implemented under the patronage of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), President of the NIAD Consultative Council. A number of representatives from BAS took part in a tree planting ceremony held on 4th of January 2023, on Hatim Al Taie Avenue in Hidd.
