Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), expressed his profound appreciation for the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to the Youth City 2030. He affirmed that this visit marks a proud national moment, reflecting His Majesty’s commitment to supporting pioneering youth initiatives and presenting the potential of talented Bahrainis across diverse fields, thereby reinforcing their role in the Kingdom’s development and progress.
Mr. Kanoo also commended the continued guidance and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who places great emphasis on national youth programmes within an inclusive vision that enhances Bahraini participation in economic and social development. This approach opens wide horizons for creativity, innovation, and meaningful contributions towards achieving the objectives of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
He further extended heartfelt gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, for his leading role in advancing national youth development. Mr. Kanoo praised His Highness’s initiatives that inspire and empower Bahraini talent while showcasing exceptional youth role models, describing him as a true example of instilling ambition, perseverance, and determination among future generations.
Mr. Kanoo highlighted that the BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Centre (BAETC) was honoured to meet His Majesty during its participation in Youth City 2030 — a historic opportunity to present the Centre’s efforts in developing specialised Bahraini talent within the aviation sector. He noted that this moment represents a defining milestone in the Centre’s 20-year journey of excellence, serving as both a recognition of its contributions and a renewed motivation to continue advancing technical education and training in Bahrain.
He added: “For two decades, (BAETC) has been committed to equipping a generation of Bahraini leaders with knowledge and hands-on experience, producing highly skilled professionals capable of keeping pace with rapid advancements and addressing modern technological challenges in this critical industry. Our mission remains focused on sustaining national expertise in the aviation sector in line with the Kingdom’s future aspirations.”
Mr. Kanoo also expressed sincere appreciation to Her Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, for her outstanding leadership of this national initiative and her tireless efforts to empower Bahraini youth and open new pathways for them to refine their skills and enhance their presence across vital sectors.
