On the Sidelines of the Bahrain International Airshow, BAS and the Institute of Public Administration Celebrate the Graduation of the First and Second Cohorts of the BAS National Leadership Development Program

Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, emphasized that the leadership program provided to Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) employees aligns with the government’s efforts to develop national talent in the private sector, making them the primary drivers in achieving national plans and economic ambitions. She added that IPA is committed to continuous investment in national talent across both public and private sectors, equipping them with expertise to meet current and future demands, in line with the comprehensive development goals under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Her remarks came during the graduation ceremony of the first and second cohorts of the BAS National Leadership Development Program, provided by the Institute of Public Administration to BAS employees, held on the sidelines of the Bahrain International Airshow.

Mr. Mohammed Khalil, CEO of Bahrain Airport Services, expressed his pride in the graduates’ achievements, stating, “Today we celebrate the graduates of this leadership program who have shown dedication and outstanding efforts in developing their capabilities. At BAS, we see this strategic partnership with the Institute of Public Administration as an opportunity to advance our future vision by investing in national talent and preparing them to meet our institutional aspirations and national ambitions.” He added that the program is a significant step in building capable national leaders who assume their responsibilities with professionalism, enhancing performance through optimal investment in human resources to fulfill the comprehensive development goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The program was specifically designed to meet the needs of BAS employees, with a primary focus on enhancing leadership thinking and developing leadership skills. It covered several key areas, including project management, problem-solving, and fostering a corporate culture within BAS. This approach positively impacts performance quality and institutional achievement, promoting cohesive teamwork across the company’s various departments and divisions.
