With a legacy spanning over four decades, Bahrain Airport Services has been at the forefront of providing state-of-the-art services, being the sole operator to aid in ground handling services at the Bahrain International Airport. Bahrain Airport Services was established under the royal decree of the Late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, based on the proposal submitted by the late Yousuf Al Shirawi, the Minister of Development & Industry. The establishment came as a result of a strong alliance between Gulf Air (the nation’s international carrier) and highly esteemed travel agencies: Kanoo Travel, World Travel, Jalal Travel, Dilmun Travel, Al Qusaibi Travel and Bahrain International Travel.

Determined to master the world’s international standards, Bahrain Airport Services has strategically positioned itself, and has played a pivotal role, in establishing Bahrain as a leader in the aviation services sector by garnering international recognition and global accreditations. The company has emerged as a trusted name in the world of services and is certified by the Air Transport Safety Audit Program of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

These accreditations have attracted the attention of international carriers to the Kingdom which has worked towards boosting the economy of the country and contributed towards the employment of Bahraini Nationals.
