BAS signs a cooperation agreement with The Institute of Public Administration

Her Excellency Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, the Director-General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that the Institute’s continuity in enhancing its partnerships with the private sector and its ongoing efforts to unify the efforts between the public and private sectors are in line with the Royal Vision set by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him. This vision aims to build a unified working system based on supporting development paths in various fields. This came during the signing of a cooperation agreement with Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) to discuss areas of collaboration and exchange of expertise through a series of training programs and services that the Institute is preparing to provide.

Her Excellency Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa added that the national cadres at the Institute of Public Administration design programs in partnership with the private sector based on the actual needs of the targeted groups, in line with the visions and institutional aspirations of the providing party. She highlighted the key role played by the training sector in qualifying the national workforce operating in both the public and private sectors, with the aim of building a second tier of national leaders capable of making decisions and formulating institutional work policies.

On his part, Engineer Mohammed Khalil Ahmed, CEO of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), explained that through the strategic partnership with the Institute of Public Administration, BAS aims to develop national cadres and enhance their capabilities according to the actual needs of BAS and the future aspirations we seek to achieve by investing in leading national talents. He pointed out that the unified and joint visions and work strategies between BAS and the Institute have contributed to opening broader areas of cooperation, including the Professional Leadership Program designed by the Institute and will be implemented based on the needs of BAS national workforce, aimed at enhancing their capabilities in leadership, strategic planning, institutional policies, and managing work teams with professionalism and readiness.
