Eligibility
- Any person whose duties require passenger and baggage check-in.
- Any person whose duties require baggage scanning for BRS; Baggage sorting; Baggage loading and unloading into/from ULD’s and aircrafts.
- Staff of supervisory level having responsibility for directing staff and controlling the baggage handling activity at airports.
Course Objectives
On completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Know your responsibilities as a baggage handling staff.
- Be familiar with the manual baggage handling procedures.
- Forecast and plan baggage as instructed by the Load Control.
- Use the various baggage loading equipment’s (ULD’s).
- Identify and use the various baggage tags.
- Handle baggage containing Dangerous goods.
- Act immediately in an event of any emergency.
- Communicate with the customer airline on Baggage related issues.
- Understand the security procedures regarding to baggage.
