Eligibility
  • Any person whose duties require passenger and baggage check-in.
  • Any person whose duties require baggage scanning for BRS; Baggage sorting; Baggage loading and unloading into/from ULD’s and aircrafts.
  • Staff of supervisory level having responsibility for directing staff and controlling the baggage handling activity at airports.
Course Objectives

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Know your responsibilities as a baggage handling staff.
  • Be familiar with the manual baggage handling procedures.
  • Forecast and plan baggage as instructed by the Load Control.
  • Use the various baggage loading equipment’s (ULD’s).
  • Identify and use the various baggage tags.
  • Handle baggage containing Dangerous goods.
  • Act immediately in an event of any emergency.
  • Communicate with the customer airline on Baggage related issues.
  • Understand the security procedures regarding to baggage.
